Uncovering the Startling Unique Events that Led to the US Civil War!

 Civil War!

Thus in silent dreams, projections

Returning, resuming, I thread my way through the hospitals;.

The hurt and wounded I pacify with soothing hand,

I sit by the restless all dark night — some are so young;.

Some suffer so much — I recall the experience sweet and sad…

Many a soldier’s loving arms about this neck have cross’d and rested

Walt Whitman — 1876

Daniel Chester French’s sculpture of Abraham Lincoln serves as the centerpiece of the memorial, and it is impossible for onlookers not to catch their breath as their eyes meet his solemn gaze.

The sculpture’s incredible artistic detail allows us to sense the tension and strain Lincoln is under as he contemplates the great sacrifice he made to preserve the Union.

Despite this, he exudes a commanding presence that resonates with all present.

Don’t forget to take a moment to absorb the — Lincoln stands before a flag that symbolizes the very Union that he gave his life for, with fasces clutched tightly in his hands as a powerful symbol of his authority.

In this temple as in the hearts of the people for whom he saved the Union, the memory of Abraham Lincoln is enshrined forever

The American Civil War was a significant conflict that took place in the United States from April 12, 1861, to May 26, 1865.

It was fought between the Union (also known as "the North") and the Confederacy ("the South"), which was composed of states that had seceded from the Union.

The primary cause of the war was the fierce disagreement over whether slavery should be allowed to expand into the western territories, resulting in more slave states or prevented, allowing slavery to be placed on a path towards ultimate extinction.

It took so many lives.

The number of soldiers who died between 1861 and 1865, generally estimated at 620,000, is approximately equal to the total of American fatalities in the Revolutionary War.

The Civil War was the deadliest war in American history.

Altogether, over 620,000 died in the conflict.

A soldier was 13 times more likely to die in the Civil War than in the Vietnam War.

In WWI 117,000 Americans were killed. In WWII 405,399 Americans were killed.

In Vietnam War 58,220 Americans were killed.

It was my heart how many Confederate and Union soldiers would their life or steal from others to get a tank or land mine to lessen their fears.

I was looking through my family's ancestors, and I found two men going for a place in the war.

They were Confederate and Union soldiers.

One was Union.

The other one was brought up in the south, but he fought for the Union.

I bet the they fought on winning!

I stole the idea that winning was all in your mind!

I keep the place in my heart for the men who sacrifice their life, but at the same time I will look for forward.

I was walking through the cemetery, there is one close by, I took my dog for a place to run.

It is called Holy Rood Cemetery.

I found a grave where a man was buried in the 1700´s, a sacred space of final repose.
